Frequently asked questions
How much flooring waste should I add?
Simple rectangular rooms often need a smaller allowance than diagonal layouts, patterned tile or narrow connected spaces. Manufacturer packaging and minimum carton quantities can also push the actual order above calculated square footage.
What does floor removal cost?
Removal depends on the existing material, adhesive, fasteners, disposal weight and access. Glued flooring and mortar-bed tile usually require more labor than floating planks or carpet.
Which flooring is easiest to install?
Click-lock floating products are often approachable for careful DIY installation, but flatness, moisture, transitions and manufacturer instructions still control the result.
